That battle between Mubai and Grand Sea Lance Master was epic, and was quite the embodiment of battle IQ, intellect, skills, and cooperation. But this episode has also gone to show us just how OP Tang San is, and sure the Sea Lance Douluo was injured, but it doesn't change the fact that he is a Titled Douluo and is definitely one of the most fearsome powers in their world, but Tang San beat his a$$ within a few minutes, without even giving him a chance to fight back😎

Anyways, the battles lately have been awesome, and it is honestly much better than early on due to the amount of focus they put into developing and setting up the plot, and the schematics, not to mention the details and world building they had to make, but we're this far in to the point that the plot remaining will be mostly battles, so hype🥰

Yeah Mubai definitely made me proud, but we all know the Grand Sea Lance Master would've slaughtered them all (including TS) if he was going all out and it was a death match.

What a great episode to start the new year! Although it didn't start with a bang but this is good enough for me. This particular episode once again proves that a good animation can totally surpass the novel and bring the story to life, if it's done properly.

When I was reading the novel, honestly I wasn't so dazzled by this fight mainly because TS was the one-man show here. He alone directed every single move of Mubai and Rong Rong but watching the fight unfold before my eyes is a different experience entirely. Mubai certainly did not appear to be a minion of TS but rather, someone who has some calibres to take on a Titled Douluo (Grand Soul Land Master) albeit he barely succeeded without some "assistance".

Nevertheless, the brief scene switching to the angel chick is a little bathetic, considering how striking the Sea Lance Douluo is. Next week, it might get a little melodramatic with the flashback scene but it gets better with each fight. The highlight will be the penultimate fight with Sea Dragon Douluo but that might take another 3 weeks. 😉

Yeah my expectations for this week were low, so I was surprised at how well this ep came off. The MB x SLD fight looked really clean and well animated. The Sea Dragon test is gonna be hyyype.

Indeed, I was highly impressed with this episode too.

Her grandfather is 99 like Boi Xi from ocean island. Hes more powerful than any of the soul masters...

Tang San can take breaks while his friends help weaken them. both of their tests are quite hard to do. one requires teamwork and the other is a solo objective. 30 mins is a long time to be constantly attacked for.
the people Tang San are fighting are in there 90s, while Qlan Daollu (Qlan Renxue's grandfather) is 99. for reference Bo Saixi, the women overseeing the trials, is also 99 (100 when fighting on the sea).
i would say what Qlan Renxue's doing is equally on par, if not more extreme then what Tang San is doing.
